After
the initial survey during our free site evaluation, we can determine
what kind of solar panels are best fit for your roof. Part of our
free site evaluation (linked) is taking a closer look at how your
roof is built, what its built out of, how old the shingles are and
what their life expectancy is. Depending on these factors we will
know if it is better to replace your roof before installing the
solar panels. If your roof’s life expectancy is projected
to expire within the next fifteen years or so, you are better off
replacing the roof before installing the system. After the roof
is replaced, the solar panels will actually protect your roof. Roof
leaks are not something that you should worry about. Our solar panels
have a protective glass front that can withstand hail of up to 1”
traveling at 50 mph. The installation will not compromise the integrity
of the roof’s membrane, as we minimize the chances of penetration
and when we do we use reliable sealing methods and materials.
Field/Ground
Mount
Property
owners occasionally prefer to install a field mount instead of a
roof mount for various reasons. In addition to aesthetic reasons,
sometimes this is the best way to install a system if the roof in
question is heavily shaded, not ideally oriented or is of inadequate
size, shape and pitch. Eshone Electric’s Engineers work together
with every customer in order to install a system that is most suitable
to the structure and to the customer’s needs. Call today.
